Daytime Middle Mile Box Truck Driver
Position Summary
Location: 2205 NJ-27, Edison, NJ 08817
As a Daytime Middle Mile Box Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight between designated warehouse locations, operating a 26' DOT-regulated vehicle. This includes maintaining accurate driving logs, vehicle mileage, and cargo details, while strictly adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies. You will conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, promptly reporting any issues. Effective communication with dispatch and warehouse teams is essential for seamless coordination of pick-ups and deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' DOT box truck.
- Ensure timely and accurate freight deliveries between warehouse locations.
- Maintain logs of hours, mileage, and cargo details.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Promptly report any mechanical issues, accidents, or violations.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and warehouse teams for smooth coordination.
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
- DOT certification and a valid DOT Medical Examiners Certificate (MEC).
- Note: We offer DOT certification through our partner for interested candidates.
- Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
- Experience operating a 26' DOT box truck is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work overnight shifts (typically 8 hours long) and adapt to a flexible schedule.
- Full-time availability preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
