Position Summary

Location: W34th-60th in Midtown Manhattan

As a Walking Courier, you'll ensure the safe and timely delivery of packages, operating a hand cart and using a handheld device for route and delivery details. Accuracy in scanning and tracking packages is crucial, along with following customer instructions. You'll navigate various routes in all weather, providing professional, customer-focused service – we're customer-obsessed! This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and manage stairs, with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

Deliver packages safely, on time, and with a smile
Load and operate a hand cart safely
Use a handheld device for routes and scanning
Follow customer instructions and special requests
Navigate various routes in all weather conditions
Represent the company professionally and be customer-obsessed
Lift up to 50 lbs, and push up to 200 lbs on a wheel cart.
Walk up/down stairs throughout your shift

Qualifications

18 years of age or older
Possess a valid state-issued photo ID
Authorized to work in the United States
Capable of understanding and following written and verbal instructions in English
Physically able to walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate stairs

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Training work?

It is a two-day paid training course. The first day is an in-class course in Midtown Manhattan. You must pass the test at the end of this class, as it qualifies you for Day 2, which is a shadow shift. On Day 2, pre-download the learning app on your phone before reporting to the jobsite that day. Your training pay will appear on your second paycheck.

How soon can I start?

Two to three weeks after your application is accepted, once you have become qualified in our system, you will begin work.

How do I ensure I’m ready for my first day?

Make sure your phone applications are onboarded. This means accepting the ADP, WhenIWork, and Discord invitation to our server. You will also receive a 4-Digit ADP code for on-site punching in.

How can I get more scheduled shifts each week?

Walkers who perform well and have consistent attendance are prioritized when assigning additional days on the schedule. If you are seeking more days, contact management.

How do I drop my shift?

Drop you shift at least 6 hours before it is scheduled to start on the WhenIWork application. Other Walkers may pick up your shift, after it is approved by management.

What is a Scorecard?

A Scorecard is a progress report of your overall performance for the week. The Scorecard has four possible tiers, (Fantastic, Great, Fair, and Poor.) If you would like to know your scorecard please reach out to your Team Leads and Walker Trainer. The frequency on which the Scorecard updates is usually every Wednesday.
